Marilynne Paspaley is the Executive Director Retail of Paspaley Pearls Pty. Ltd. and one of the Directors on the Paspaley board. Paspaley’s principal interest is the production of Australian South Sea Pearls and has pioneered this industry since 1952. The Company currently has over 1000 employees across Australia, Asia and Northern America and produces approximately 70% of Australia's gem pearls, exporting directly to Europe, Asia and North America. The company is internationally acknowledged as the producer of the finest South Sea pearls in the world.

Marilynne was instrumental in establishing Paspaley’s retail network with showrooms in Broome, Darwin and Sydney. To support retail activities, Marilynne oversaw the establishment of Paspaley’s own jewellery workshop which is headed by an internationally awarded Master Jeweller. Marilynne is also responsible for the jewellery collections and manufacturing, advertising and marketing initiatives, as well as being Editorial Advisor to the “Paspaley Magazine”.

She has established two boutique hotels in Broome WA and a resort in Kununurra WA. Along with her husband Garry, Marilynne operates a television station dedicated to travel information. Marilynne is also the proprietor of Darwin’s premier production company, Burrundi Pictures.

In 1996 Marilynne was awarded the “Pommeroy Award for Excellence” for her contribution to the Australian jewellery industry and was a member of the judging panel for the 1996 “Australian Jewellery Design Award”. She was also a member of the judging panel for the 2005 “Veuve Cliquot Award Australia”.

Marilynne is acknowledged as a role model for women in business and on a private level is a mother of three and a professional actress. She is also the Northern Territory’s representative on the Kakadu National Park Board of Management.

Marilynne is an Honoree of The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World, having been nominated in 1999. Also Marilynne is a member of the Executive Committee and the Advisory Board for The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World organization.

Marilynne was instrumental in bringing the 2004 Leading Women Gala and Celebratory Events to Sydney, Australia, May 9-13, 2004.
